~-Pass the Absinthe-~
the dark waters of decadence
bathe the mind with grief,
with loss, with emptiness,

from their luminescence,
calm! overriding the waves
of emotional hurricanes,
the buttressed fort of futility
finally falls from forces
of father time...

Re: Pass the Absinthe
Descriptive poem. It's a painting. Lots of alliteration at the end.
Note: Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
