My son got me a room at the viceroy
Santa Monica early morning mist
Best bed my hips have ever slept on
Going to take a beautiful people shower
Fluffy white towels and a robe
My sister is asleep- she does not know how
Grazing on room service food and terrible coffee
She sleeps; she has teenagers
Had to get away from them and sleep

I told her I promised I would be quiet

She is “tara tara tara “from Juan of Spain
I’m “ Jana Jana Jana what are you doing jana”
Italy-
Trust me
You should have seen us 30 years ago
But how fortunate we are
To have survived the crack smoking
Pretending we were rocket scientists

poetry is like rocket science for me
