what to worship

Post by saw » December 12th, 2018, 1:39 pm

she looked at me
confused eyes crossed
startled
twisted,
her expression hung
in the morning air...
righteous face
curled lips
seeing a man
me
as if I had 3 heads
one speaking Mandarin
one speaking Latin
one speaking Greek
she had just asked me
a simple question
"what is your religion?"
I told her
it is Love
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Wow

Reminds me of a story I wish I'd written that appeared in my high school literary magazine - about the ultimate military computer, programmed to develop unbeatable tactics & strategies - the brass was demonstrating its power - asked it for the ultimate secret to conquest. Its reply: "Love thy neighbor as thyself." A confused technicial looks at the printout & says "Sir, there's something wrong with the machine - it isn't making any sense."
.

I love to love - to feel that freshness of service
Giving without expectations
However : I worship creative ideas that can send me to an altered state- the dredging of my silver linings
I have enjoyed the company of buddah and Jesus
And even some amazing medicine people
But I learned that anything I worship disappeared
That the ticket was to surrender to the house of Spirit
The God
The whole crew
And let the angels take care of you-
If I could heal the hearts of the people
I would ask for gentle lessons
And no cracks in my eggs at the super market
Certainly - what I want : is not the priority
At any rate- for the longest time
I worship life
Filled with love and big dreams
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
