as the planet warms up
a thick hoarfrost irony hangs
like toxic icicles from the eaves
of fortified castle mansions,
the earth barons just watch
the temperature of the planet
doesn't affect their fetishes
Jack Frost nipping on your nipples,

that tribe living under the bridge...
ain't all of them gonna make it
I've given them most of my coats,
most of my socks and sweatshirts
but I'm a dot in an ocean of pain,
in a sea of neglect...and the Salvation Army bell
don't do shit, the lights and colorful trimmings
only mean that red and green reflect well
on blue lips.

Richest economy in the world, yet still much work to do.
They're still down there, and another 'Christmas' has come and gone.

Gawd damn them! When will they concede and admit the facts they know so well - our economy is insufficient to feed, clothe and shelter all our citizens? But please don't shake an already shaky economy that relies on more and more wealth to sustain that wealth, that false wealth only the wealthiest can brag about - how much they have while 100,000 more have none. Spend more on defense! Put up barriers on the southern borders! Keep the majority at bay, for they threaten the greediest.
