my lucky salvation

Post by saw » February 19th, 2019, 12:05 pm

maybe I think too much.......duh
I don't seem to have an off switch anywhere
No, I'm an antiquated model without all the cool accessories
strictly lo-tech, lo-res, small screen..... I like my yellow pads
'cause "yellow is the color
of my true love's hair....in the mornin'
....when we rise "...etc etc lah di lah etc. di dah

oh Donovan where art thou, oh sunshine superman and
beautiful Joan B. with your perfect pitch and warrior heart

I like my Pilot G2 bold black ink pens
I'm a creature of bad habits, an unnamed beast
i do have my evolutionary purpose
and I do try to do my best, but I have
a lot of flaws and have made a lot of peculiar choices
and have this list of life experiences that'll remain known to few,
and stories i need to tell from time to time

oh Chaucer and your tales, Billy Shake and your mathematical sonnets
all of you have walked the ground I trod upon, so I write a little

whenever the planet and sundry stars align in a serpentine row
.....when all the celestial lights fire in perfect succession
..................in the interim I'm just gonna dote
.................on this amazing creature
........that moved in with me,
........this brilliant agent
my lucky salvation
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I was right
I think too much...
when a teammate is bowling poorly
we have this funny reminder
to shift that bowler's mindset
we simply ask,
"Are you thinkin' too much ?"
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I can hear Donovan singing that.

Anyway, empty your head of thoughts and you will rise up----like a helium balloon. Heavy thoughts get you down.
