lighthouse

granular time rolls backward, forward
the beach of our composure always
in motion, a saline etch-a-sketch labyrinth....

interlaced grains of decaying rock and roll

and I am reminded of my impermanence
as I stare into the churning seas of emotions...
I am rattled like an old weathered lighthouse,

when there is no one around to see her

and she gives a little, to keep from snapping
the circles of our time flows out, then ebbs
and one day when Neptune calls for us

we no longer return to the shore

but we do go on....our spirit
cannot be washed away even though
we will become infinitesimal in our current stature

We Will Grow Again....on the crest of a brand new wave

we will assume another form
and our old soul will shine like that old beacon....
we will illuminate many dark paths

for wayward travelers that come along

Soul shining
Brilliantly fun
I think that those yogi s that “ dismiss their soul” and turn into rainbows-pods - like little embryo should
Birth death life love

I dunno why impermanence
Seems to spawn humility
But I think they are lovers
Walking hand in hand in the park

Timelessness
Some days are so long
And some fly by
I wonder why-
If this is a matrix of delicious tastes and flavors- many spices- way too many religions
But you will live on in the cells of the universe
Electric in apparition
The best is yet to come- they say after you die
It’s a better address
I dunno

I met a lighthouse repair team on kauai
They all have different lenses

Like people
I am a stained glass window
Light comes through
The heart
The soul- the missing 4 0z of weight when you go
I wanted to “ go”
Did everything in my power to go
Big
Go high risk behaviors
Anyone that questions the 70 s was never there
Acid
And music
I’m deaf now
It was worth every party/ ceremony- AA meetings-
And a profound sense of humility was gifted
For a period
Until I was off and runnng z d full of myself
What wanted and needed
Ugh
It was not my time to shine

creativesoul's comment (which is a poem too) is better and more personal than the comment I'm writing but I do like the "lighthouse" as a symbol.

The opening of the poem is thought-provoking and elicits an emotional assent

granular time rolls backward, forward
the beach of our composure always
in motion, a saline etch-a-sketch labyrinth....

interlaced grains of decaying rock and roll

and I am reminded of my impermanence
as I stare into the churning seas of emotions...
I am rattled like an old weathered lighthouse,

Excellent ending too

our old soul will shine like that old beacon....
we will illuminate many dark paths

for wayward travelers that come along
