please enunciate
my troubled ears are dying
and I am left here with only cloud faces
drawn across the empathetic sky
in seconds of atmospheric motion and love
did you know when I dream
the voices are as clear as artesian well water
bubbling up from between the rocks and the hard places
from a lifetime of salmon-like swimming,
determined, against the grain, upstream
so i try to lie down as a practice of meditation
to educe all the noble dreams a man can muster
it's safer than buying some drug from a some wiry bearded self-proclaimed preacher
who's pedaling his one speed bicycle peddling his one speed drugs
a mere man it turns out, with tombstones in his eyes
and in the final analysis
some men's mushrooms are simply another man's dreams
and, it doesn't really matter how you get there,
only that you arrive in some form that isn't as fragmented
and mean, as the guy next door
the guy next door
the guy next door
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
Re: the guy next door
ain't that the truth! a hillbilly heaven - no difference only sung different.

Re: the guy next door
The guy next door
Sounds like a whore
Or someone I’m indifferent to;
I dunno I think that guy represents everything stupid thing I have ever done sitting
On the dock of the bay with some chew in my cheek
It could have been way worse
I could have married the guy next door -
And then we would have had one of those stupid moments
Where wal mart seems like a good thing
How it is confusing
Because I cannot relate
Not amused by the guy next door
I wish to ignore all that I find in me
In the guy next door

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: the guy next door
I have quite lucid dreams too at times, but very specific as to place especially. I've always wondered about that..

Re: the guy next door
A lot to like---when I dream
the voices are as clear as artesian well water
bubbling up from between the rocks and the hard places
from a lifetime of salmon-like swimming,
and----
safer than buying some drug from a some wiry bearded self-proclaimed preacher
who's pedaling his one speed bicycle peddling his one speed drugs
a mere man it turns out, with tombstones in his eyes
but the poem as a whole is interesting-----the close of the poem is a surprise too. It captures attention-----the poem wraps around from the beginning to the ending. Apparently he is a "mean" dude too, not only almost incomprehensible.
