nuthin worked out....
half the time aimless
the other half
without a plan, wow
did I just make a Yogi-ism ?
the women came and went
like summer and fall
oh yeah, I had a part in it
can't get into percentages with you
can't tell you I shoulda done this
shoulda done that,
cuz I really don't fucking know
and it really doesn't fucking matter
and profanity is perfect for situations like this
Oliie North is a household name
for shit happens...
of course his shit was worse
than mine I think, but after all this
mileage, I'm still here
and they are still there
somewhere.....
probably tapping their own
keyboards
writing a stupid poem
about me
or maybe I'm just an old fool
with an old brain
and a bad memory
prone to fantasies of lost love
that was never there
a stupid poem about me
a stupid poem about me
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
Re: a stupid poem about me
In times like that I try to think: at least it was the journey, all aimless and perfect ... (And no, that doesn't help much, sometimes.) Or: "it could be worse, I could be a household name." (That one usually makes me feel better right away.)
I'm really liking that Yogi-ism, btw ...

Re: a stupid poem about me
Love never dies
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
