Wolf Talk

Post by the mingo » June 20th, 2019, 10:53 am

If I wrote a poem right now
it would look like a dog sleeping
and dreaming about something that made her
chase after it

the dog would wake up
I would give her a MilkBone
which she carries out into the living room
and begins to break it up
the sound of her teeth doing that
drifts into the room where I sit listening to a guy
with white hair speaking to someone I can't see
about another guy who is dead

the sound of all that would be the talk of wolves
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Aooooooouuuuuu well done!
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Nice one. Just the right length too. I can hear that crunch of a milkbone----can see and hear the white-haired guy talking into...……….

the talk of wolves------it is a great mind-stopping ending
