the spectacle of near-misses

Post by saw » August 3rd, 2019, 9:27 am

information
beyond the mountain of science
truths lingering like perfume
when a woman passes you by
in a crowded subway car

show of hands....
how many believe their consciousness
lives inside the cranial home
that carries the soft nervous tissue
we parade around in our fibrous husk

is quantum mechanics science or fiction
or science fiction, what about the Maharishi Effect
I have all these questions tonight, my mind is a pinball
lighting all the lights, scoring ungodly points
in a rampage of desire

I ricochet beyond the flippers of darkness
back to the spectacle of near-misses
a silver ball of nitroglycerin looking for a safe place
to land....Take me away from the bells and whistling teapots
that demand attention ......and give me an unobstructed view

OK....I'm ready to solve the puzzle
damn, why is it that there is always a missing piece
I mean I just opened this box
it was sealed in plastic wrapping from the factory
so please Do Tell.....how can I be one piece short again ?
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Ans.: The missing piece is due to the same teleportation effect which causes the number of socks removed from the dryer to be always less than the number that went in.

yeah sasha, one piece , one sock, one chance in life to say something
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

It seems like the whole thing is headed toward a near miss (through no fault of its participants). Sometimes you're literally just inches or just one good thought or maybe just one lyric away from a hit.
