Mad hatter

Post by creativesoul » October 15th, 2019, 7:25 am

Something drew me to the parking lot
There- was the mad hatter
His eyes were like water in a pool
Confused and drunk he proceeds to say
“ ya know I’m looking for a good woman”
I became Alice in wonderland
Getting smaller and taller as seconds pass
One pill makes you
But the ones that mother gives you don’t do anything at all

Grace slick
Blessed are those that wake up at 4
Drink coffee and talk to the moon
Sometimes — I cannot look at people like the mad hatter
I can be kind and civil
But I am afraid of what lurks beneath the hat
The soggy disposition
I see the nasty spiritual slime
I have to shower sometimes just to get it away from me
Water is amazing

Getting eaten alive by a hungry soul is not my idea of a good time
It’s been real
It’s been fun
But it has not been
Real fun

spooky poem for me— like you was looking thru me 8)

it always kills me when I read those advice books about relationships, they tell the women not to cling to their man, in my experience I think that advice should have been to men.
I used to be a clinger
I had a hungry heart
not hearing
until I drank the Kool-Aide™ and fucked a black widow spider
and that's when I really really really started reading poetry
From that pale mist
Ghost swore to priest:
'There sits no higher court
Than man's red heart.'

Alice suspected they weren't real,
those slip-through altered states,
though they seemed real enough
for awhile, one pill doing this and
another doing that, and all the
while the same parking lot.

But alcohol, another story.
A soggy disposition too often.
A good way to put it, actually...
The West is full of tales of its Sins.

Sorry for getting on some tangents maybe..

Well I've never read the original "Alice,"
but I've listened to Grace Slick's take on it..

in my experience the needy become
hyper-intuitive, they can read you
know which people will be kind and civil
its happened to me my whole life,
if I'm walking with a group of friends
the madman will single me out, avoid
my friends, and walk right up to me for something
they know I won't be cruel to them
I'll listen to them, and that may be what they
need the most, someone to listen to them
for a few seconds, so they know they matter
in some way....some are addicted
and some have mental health problems
and some have both issues, I've learned
to accept that when it happens,
it won't be the last time, ..it will happen again
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I can only say that some of it was real-
I used to be able to see inside your body
And people got naked more often back then
I miss that
I
Miss people with pet rats and the geodesic domes
In the Santa Cruz Mountain’s with Ken kesesy and the hog farm
And they were a clever clan
Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream
But the “ wavy “ potatoe chips was too much for me

I might start collecting action figures
I look around
I think garage sale

I been crazy all my life- I just attract ppl that want to tell me a story

In
Portland by the river

Lots of crazy over there

The pills were long gone
Now they camped everywhere
I wish for days gone by
Water flowing under

I wanted to love everyone
I failed

I have always been crazy it is the only thing that kept me from going insane. Waylon
, well not if you don't mean the chemically induced insanity.
As child of five watching his childhood heroes in old 1940's black and white good guys in the white ten-gallon hats white knights rescuing dragons from fair maidens.
White knight syndrome, hell yeah mong....
why do we all have to tell a story:
for all the bluster on the web about politics, the only important stuff has to do with poetry 8)
