I used to fret
the colors of life going around
like clothes tumbling in artificial warm air
the spinning of the roulette wheel
with that clickety clack reminder
the circular ringing of worry in the ear

but those days have faded like comfy jeans
into the periphery of accumulated years
and the newly seen and the never known,
like my two feet
happy they still work
blessed by these random gifts

when the young modern man awakens
fear lies on the clock radio in the hype
of compromised newscasters.....Fear
sells cars and washing machines
but has no place here in the seasoned mariner's head
So...Fuck off CNN.....NPR

fear dominates the news cycle
we all have heard , If it Bleeds, it Leads
and honestly everything that poses as news could easily be made up
reporters often refer to their "sources"
Well maybe the the sources are real and maybe they are not
Sources don't have to be revealed
and if they are real, suppose they want to lead the narrative in a particular direction
that would benefit the people they work for
Who are the bad guys ?........damn if i know
