Parking space

I was right almost behind a woman leaving
A woman in a white car came from accross the other side
Snatched it
A good American woman says “ bitch”
I did that- suddenly she is at my car door
Pulling it open
I said” I have just come from urgent care - I’m not feeling well - please leave me alone “
She then says “ ii am supposed to have empathy for someone like you?”
I ran into the pharmacy for my anti- biotic s and cough syrup
I left my phone in the car
When I went to go get it
She now had two perfect strangers saying “ tattletale and bitch- “
I told her straight up
I was cAlling the cops
Fortunately a beautiful elderly man
Told the police officer what he saw
Which is what I said
She asked me if I wanted to press charges
I said “ no”
But can you tell her that is not ok
Then I felt blessed to be home
Safe
Far away from crazy ppl
To watch bad television
And rest my soul for the next time
I have to say to someone” you must be from somewhere where ppl do not give a fuck
I said” Ohio”
She looked at me as only an old grumpy bitch can
That she wishes she was 17 again
Or something fragile broke inside
I cried a lot I forgot that I can look like someone
Else and I see what only someone like me
Can remember many times
Put thier hands on me
Before I gave them the indication
That you can touch me
I sure hope you find what you are looking for lady
I am sure it wasn’t me

Some people are just nasty
A sense of entitlement elevates them
To a plane of superiority
From which they reign supreme over the rest of us
I've met a few of them too
Little frightened people
Validating themselves
By invalidatling us....

I really don't care if I sound old to anyone when I say manners, politeness, rationality, kindness, and empathy have all taken a huge setback in this artificial world of winner takes all....baltimore has the rudest drivers in the country...they are uber-aggressive and according to Allstate Insurance literally are the worst drivers in the country....Numero Uno !....it's very frustrating getting anywhere here by car....Very sorry that when you are already not feeling well you have to contend with alpha narcissist asshole when you are just trying to get your meds...deep breathing is the only way to get through it all...and a gratitude that you are not them....and a refusal to accept the reality they alone have created for the rest of us to adopt to
Life can be ( to some extent )...what you make it...at least in terms of how you deal with other living-breathing humans...so why not admit that we are all in this thing together...and loosen up...and be considerate...compassionate....the most shocking part is you actually explaining you were sick, and her essentially saying too damn bad, I didn't get what I want....holy fuck, may the force be with us

Folks hereabouts will tell you that Boston holds that honor! I think that use of turn signals is a punishable offense in MA.

I suspect that the urban lifestyle plays a significant role in that "king of the hill" mentality - fostering the notion that gentle courtesy and generosity of spirit are weaknesses in a kill-or-be-killed world - and perhaps they are. If so, it's a world I'd just as soon remain blissfully absent from. Stranger in a strange land.... as alien to those of us in the hinterland as Trantor is to those out in the remote galactic spiral arms.... yeah, I'm a hick - a rube - a huckleberry - shit on my shoes, straw in my hair - and goddamned proud of it.

Gather; prize is not being them!! I think people are waking up- standing up for people in the streets- most people want love - it’s just ba shame how they choose to ask for it- or demanding more than their share as I have not met a crazy person like that in 29 years- I think that the odds are improving for decent human beings - yep

Crazy woman! So sorry to hear that happened. What a wonderful attitude you have ... "prize is not being them!!" ... plus "odds are improving for decent human beings" .... Such optimism! Wonderful!

I hope you are getting better.

Sorry, I don't understand what happened:
I was right almost behind a woman leaving
A woman in a white car came from accross the other side
Snatched it
Snatched it :?

thanks for the poem 8)

Until yesterday I was a movie in black in white in an old hospital ( my house)
But sickness brings odd dreams and ideas.... so many images
One lady in a sari..
Dreams and fever and sweat
I’m back
