night never fails the wistful

night never fails the wistful
__________***___________

the romance of words
falls into the space
that engages the heart-
strings pulled taut
then released with ease.

the shattering of silence!
night stills even joy
on those nights when joy
seems suspended in the ether
blown free from the balance
of a spinning world adrift.

in the darkened skies
but never alone, you say,
as the breath of this night
warms even the chill of winter,
partaking of possibilities
of endless romance singing
in tones of the planets
befriending loneliness.

o! the night is holy
as we weep upon stars,
so distant from our
senses strung to feel
the pulsations of life
trumping our hearts...
the power of night
cooling the ravaged body
of earth from a sun
more powerful than ourselves.

cooling the brow,
steaming the senses
alert to a vibration
of the mother moon,
the silvered treasure
that holds our dreams
and comforts our minds
that wander freely across
this night sky in its
temporal touch upon our
flattered hearts set free

(night never fails the wistful)

a fluid oasis of streaming refuge...
.homesick. but homeless.

So true.
Night extends the wistful
galaxy infinities past mother moon,
which lit the desert in ghostly silver
for awhile..
