Homeless girl

Post by creativesoul » November 16th, 2019, 9:18 pm

She did not know what time it was
Her clothes seemed larger than life

Colorful- with that oily smell and tobacco
She and a boy had been here forever
In the home of the land of the free
The bugs had been feeding on her scalp
For maybe - five years.. she was just another
Homeless girl
Things had happened much too fast

She could only imagine what it was like
To live in a real house and to rest
The soul that was searching in her dreams
All night long looking for that house
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

a touching rendering
one can feel the emotional tug
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

I agree.
Things happened
much too fast, or
it seems.

Nice, nice ending:
"The soul that was searching in her dreams
All night long looking for that house"
