check this

Post by jackofnightmares » December 21st, 2019, 9:03 pm

Check list for a good life
ecg, heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar
apple watch™, android™ watch, a fitness tracker
these the things I carry on me
I am not afraid of dying
I need all that stuff to remind me I am alive

love this board
it would be better if I sat on my hands
never reply to the poems
Asperger me green
prosody beyond my grasp
but I keep on grasping for it anyway
but somestimes I gasp at what I say
was what I wrote so inappropriate that the poet was offended?
I have heard it said that poets are blessed in that
Grief is interpreted as mourning, not depression. Mourning, a positive process in life, leads the sufferer to change and growth, to a kind of rebirth, to a condition previously unknown.

there have been some sights
with evil egomaniacs, but they don't live here
we have a small core group
i personally do not post anywhere else
got tired of all the bullshit
all the my brain is bigger than yours
the nasty nitpicking numskulls with time on their hands
maybe a little blood
just keep on truckin' ...truck
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I came here from a site supposedly for writers
and there were many fine writers in attendance:
Doreen, Judih, "Wireman" Colburn, mtmynd, wylde, mnaz, goldenmyst.....
others I'm sure I'm overlooking
to whom I sincerely apologize for doing so......
but its "Open Discussion" forum should have been named "Open Season"....
bare-knuckle gladiatorial displays of machismo
my way or the highway
you voted for WHOM??
anyone who believes that crap must be an IDIOT!
...I rarely ventured there
not a congenial neighborhood for a haiku-ist....
if AC was a rough urban burrough
S8 is a pastoral commune
a place where gardens are quietly tended
where disparate harvests are shared
and if you happen not to care for my cauliflower
you nonetheless accept the offering
with a smile and a thank-you
and set it aside for someone else
who might
.

I thought this poem could be about studio eight, it could have been written for Doreen and judih.
the link is broken
Tea at Rachel Varnhagen's

Currant bread and current affairs
Strong Assam and rooms hazy with words
Beauty and brain not a contradiction in terms
Salons where male and female minds
Shamelessly mated on plush ottomans
Where sensuous mouths dared breathing hard truths
Where strong wills fearlessly bowed to the
Ingenious stroke of a feathery well-kept hand

Zlatko the Waterman, Clay January, Dino, Wireman, so many disembodied poets still here.

thank you

yes yes
I believe as you that studio 8 is a nice place to visit
my response also included why I don't bother to go anywhere else

Peace survives and indeed flourishes in the kindness of others decency and understanding.

Truck - we go back a looong ways and you've easily become a long surviving poet of your own doing... and do it fine, amigo... fine!

my girlfriend lived in LA for many years and had her fair share of hobnobbing with Hollywood's elite and she says the ones that meant something were the ones most gracious....the rest, well ....tabloid stuff
