I'm always on the hunt for fungi and humor

Post by saw » January 3rd, 2020, 1:32 pm

I know there is an end to this
he said to me, and my reply
was swift and armor piercing
How do you know this Chester ?

I'm not trying to be coy my friend
and we both know I'm not the Real McCoy
because that is Walter Brennan , I guess....
what i am trying to say is I've been hiking this figure eight

for decades, this loop of existence along this wooded path
from birth to death to birth again, we age
somewhat imperceptibly , tho when you take stock sometimes
there are some aches and pains fairly profound that insist I notice

nonetheless I skate the figure eight again and again
and always seem somehow to end up back at my truck
in the fertilized flames extinguished by tiny tempests and lit again by ghostly arsonists
a continuance down this road of black, white, and gray ashes, never thinkin' much about a dead end

death begats life
and from my current mindset
is the only time
"begats" should ever be used

laugh with me til we can't see any more humor

til there are no more mushrooms to gaze upon
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

The figure eight is sideways infinity..
That's how I've always looked at it.

infinity is a very wonderful word whose symbol we call "8" or pronounced 'ate' does not come close to "Infinity"... spacey word.

our language being reduced to substituting "ate" for the marvel of "Infinity" proves our imagination is limited.

Fine shots of such a variety of coral that I wasn't aware of being a desert dweller.

Thank you, SAW!
