went to see my acupuncturist yesterday
So, what's the problem he asked
motivation, I said
can't seem to find inspiration these days
been this way for about a month or more
seems I'm worried about the planet
my kids and grandkids will inherit
Lord knows all the money will be gone
and so leaving them zilch is troubling me I think,
too old for the demonstrations in DC any more
not enough spot-o-pots and that damn right knee
doesn't cooperate on concrete and asphalt,
So, where do I place my waning energy
or lack there of. I mean I feel great in the woods
communing with my brethren squirrels and birds
Now, they make a lot of sense to me 'cause those
talkin' heads on the television are speaking a foreign language
is this a cop out ?.....just walking a trail by the river
with my walking stick and small backpack
Have I done enough
What are the rules ?
I gave a panhandler a buck yesterday,
is That enough
Oh man, now I have a headache
