The World Is Going To hell

World is going to hell.
Just kidding; the world
is just being the World,
going thru another phase,
fulla asteroids 'n dinosaurs,
genocide and the best deals.
Protest and vote if you insist,
see if it does any good, see if it
gets what sham politicians and
brutal chance delivered for
all these billions of years.

Shouldn't be so pessimistic.
(Could be wealthier!)
Should be more optimistic.
(It's much healthier!)
Once was more optimistic.
I try to remember why.

the world doesn't go anywhere
but the demand of nature's call
hell is the other half of a union
that's been named by heaven

so in the meantime we watch
we listen... we fear... we spew
what's gone wrong with humanity
whose largely at fault of their own
.. their own grasping four + thumb
brought the demise into the dumb

Ho! Hum! Ho! Hum! and then some
NeverMore... NeverMore... what for?
