Martin Luther King Day

Post by mnaz » January 22nd, 2020, 1:16 am

One side must be right.
Jesus yammered about
peace and love, pure idiot.
Didn't understand profit.

The Bureau shits out a weak
tribute to Martin Luther King.
They called him an extremist,
back when he was alive.

the prophet could not have imagined
profit...the new prophets are not king-like
they preach of the holy market which makes
them god-like

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Jesus and MLK. Extremists who needed to be dealt with. Threats to the Empire.

(1) Yes Steve: Greed, Profit and Money. The Holy Trinity . . . To me that worldview (as near-religion) is unsustainable, even ultimately ruinous. And Trumpism-- beneath all its noise of divide and conquer deceit-- is the Engine driving it all to absurd new heights. Clean air? Water? Say goodbye. I can't fathom the cult around this asshole (as even some of his supporters describe him). I don't want some cynical Flag-Hugging Corporate Blowhard Shyster Gangster Wannabe Dictator telling me how to think, and packing courts with people who kowtow to religious zealots and want to strip away our basic democratic freedoms-- what's left of them. No. Thanks.

(2) With that said, I need to remind myself at times of the Past Sins of Government as well-- its Agencies in particular. There was (and probably still is) a "deep state." Not in the cynical sense as characterized/deployed by the current Admin, but real nonetheless, especially throughout the 2nd half of the 20th century (ask Iran and Latin America how they feel about our "covert operations," for example). So any time I start feeling too sorry for the fbi when our Blowhard Liar-in-Chief goes after them, I remind myself of how truly horrific those guys were at times-- under Hoover especially. Just ask MLK's relatives.
