Thanks
The sun rose over a planet
That almost died; peoples quivering nerves
Filled with arrogance and the invisible forces
No one new what choices were to be made
Take out restaurants and points on credit cards
Glass shards of a frivolous existence now over
These decisions were all that seemed real
On their behalf

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: Thanks
What once seemed "real"
pales beside what is real.
pales beside what is real.
Re: Thanks
Indeed!
I'm curious about this "liberte" crowd waving signs stating the frustration with "living in a prison", "takingaway our freedom", and such.
Are they just itchy to challenge the facts that nurses and doctors and still doing what they are sworn to do? Are they ignorant that the possibility of going back before the virus attack will lessen the chances of getting threat of death? Do the NOT CARE that others who don't agree with their "wants" and the words of DJT can very well bring about an enormous threat of even more deaths, including themselves and their families and friends... alll for the sake of working for a job that another millions are waiting for?
Who are these people? Do they REALLY agree with Trump? Really? No shit?

Nature's way of thinning the herd, perhaps - selecting against blind stupidity and stubbornness.

I sit in my yard, knees dirty
knowing love...
im glad its gone.
will we start over?
no.
we will go right back,
harder than before.

Re: Thanks
the corporate world sold us a way to behave
what's cool, what's not cool.....try to get us to smoke Kools
it was imperceptible, the slow steady brainwash....
we all had a good scrubbing and came to form opinions
on what was available and prevalent....til we understood
what was real.....and it was what we were shown....
and so many lost their ability to think critically
and their fear, born in their needs, turned them into cannibals
sorry for diatribe response....i really like the poem....it has an elegance...and it's sharp like an arrowhead

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
