bad news, someone stole your watch

Post by saw » April 20th, 2020, 10:54 am

huge demonstration in the state capital....
Annapolis was rife with flag waving screaming banshees
they congregated in mask-less mobs,
no teeny weeny virus was going to deny them their rights
and they shouted loud hoping the governor would change his mind
they wanted "their state" open for business again
and weren't concerned if they spread the disease
as long as someone saw their their ugly signs
they were there to demand the gov ignore the science
because they had this feeling that it wasn't as dangerous
as all the experts were saying....you know.....that gut feeling
you get when you can't read, when you can't critically think
that feeling that tells you....fuck all you'all
it was a bizarre thing to witness on film, I had never seen
a lobotomized gathering like that
yelling the same phrases, like they practiced on-line perhaps
and painting the same signs like someone put the same bug in their ear
oh wait....I see..... while they were busy ignoring the facts, and the virus
this other microscopic bug crawled in through their ears, and started eating their brains
it's like close-up magic...when you look to the left hand, the right just stole your wristwatch
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

think back
I'm sure you've seen this before
on 1950s television
old film reels
milk bottles waddling down an assembly line...
instructional videos
on how to properly brush your teeth...
and recent history
Germany, 1939...
when a madman with dark vision
hijacked an entire nation's conscience
and held it in his thrall...
Deutschland uber alles!
Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil!
Achtung, Juden... Achtung...
brown shirts
red hats
all the same
.

You're words I have not heard better.

That mob-rule mentality built on simple greed - gimme, gimme, gimme! I want it all!
