They do that. With me, it was when I was making a mixtape... Didn't write much back then.

Love the way you wrote this, El Mingo!

We went without a cat for years until one day, SooZen heard the crying of a cat, traced to some bushes.

This barely alive, newborn was abandoned by it's mother and in need of nourishment. SooZ took the reigns and put him in our once housed aviary. We both took interest in what we named, "Bones" as thin as he was. That was near 3 years ago and his home, the "Cat House" has been a fine place for Bones to grow up... he was early on taken to a vet who cleaned him up, shots and all, and he's my boy since I feed him daily.

It's good to have a cat around now, and even better he has his own territory.

Thanks for the inspiration, amigo.

Thx for your reads everyone - I appreciate it

Cecil - I have some of the grandbabies now fully grown, from the kitten I rescued roadside a couple of years ago - I gave half of them to a shelter in February ( was all they could take ) said they could take the rest in March but then came Covid-19 so they are still here - one I'm going to keep, a male,
I call him BC, short for Big Cool - he is bigger-boned than the others and a big suckhole who likes his belly rubbed - he sits around here a big black buddha creature so he gets to stay when the rest get raptured - eventually

"I know how to feed a cat!" Someone asked , "How's that?" "With a shovel!" he answered.

We are down to our last cat here. He is a Maine Moon Cat, big cat, makes me feel good when I see him. We got a family pet cemetery full of dogs but only a few cats. Most of our cats just disappear and rapture anonymously.
that Maine moon cat has soul of a tiger
sometimes I feel like I have the amygdala
of a tiger. but I will never forget the stench of their scat.

I'm just blowing smoke  pardon the ramble reminded me of a tiger I worked with. "Raging Cajun" we all called him. Before the circus got him he was a mascot for the LSU Tigers™ football team, they had declawed him and botched the job so that he would constantly shift his paws and howl with pain.

thank you for writing. 8)
