Wonder

Post by mtmynd » May 17th, 2020, 12:48 pm

"I really don't give a damn about the misery of the world. I take it for granted. What I want is to open up. I want to know what is inside me. I want everybody to open up. I'm like an imbecile with a can-opener in his hand, wondering where to begin - to open up the earth. I know that underneath the mess everything is marvelous. I'm sure of it. I know it because I feel so marvelous myself most of the time. And when I feel that way everybody seems so marvelous... everybody and everything... even pebbles and pieces of cardboard... a matchstick lying in the gutter... anything... a goat's beard, if you like. That's what I want to write about... and then we're all going to see clearly, see what a staggering, wonderful, beautiful world it is." - Henry Miller, author

A sense of wonder can pull you on a wondrous journey. I associate it with "seeing through a child's eyes," but it's more than just seeing things (literally) for the first time; it's seeing things in different ways; always asking new questions about your world.

I believe that our soul is made of a beautiful light that can And does permeate: the salon. The couches the lace the smell of dusting powder
Mirrors in the palace of Versailles

Reflecting all the desire and labor and love with a sacred lusty embroidered skin filled with juicy dreams
The scent of love dripping off our bodies

Laughter echoes throughout the moor:
Shadows of the past sleep with the winter trees
Remove this veil of gluttony that holds us hostage
To that : she whispers to the moonlight
Thank you
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
