so, tell me friend

Post by saw » June 12th, 2020, 9:33 am

my life eternal whispers,
unexpected words mouthed
into millions of canals
passed along in drumbeats
one by one, an amalgam
of conversations mostly forgotten

I'm certain my interpretations
are skewed by an inability
to step back far enough
to get the correct perspective
so my life is always sitting there
at arm's length

touchable, but still unknown....
we need all of our senses
for proper evaluation, more than five
or six, and even then, in the end
we come up with this utterly biased
composite from a single-minded historian

so, tell me friend........who am I ?

Wrong !.......you don't know me
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

correct perspective a thousand-yard stare
Sometimes I think I know you, "my dearest friends are total strangers"

I have to refocus more these days
thanks for the cool poem
happy to have read it

Arms length
Yeah
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
