like there's no covid-19 to cut my feet
skip effortlessly like a gray stoner
'cross the cresting wave of all my visions

I wanna wake up from a summer nap having tried to read,
in my Brazilian hammock, to learn that Donny the Rat
was just a two-bit thug in a dystopian novel......

I want all of that too. Wannabe wanter I am. We all sleep beneath stars, or somewhere in the middle of them, and differences never seemed that much to me, but what the hell do I know?

strips them of a shred of empathy, or maybe
they are just plain evil fucks masquerading as christians

the cockroaches
lice and rats
have always been with us

covid-19 ain't the enemy

the red party isn't red from bleeding
their blood dried up years ago
and now they run on fuel oil, and unnatural gas
now they pretend to be human
