Then God Said

Post by mnaz » September 12th, 2020, 7:07 am

Then God said unto him, yea
verily, the disciples must pack.
Sorry Son, hope you understand.
After this is over we'll make a deal.
Sell it as salvation, no one will know.

Gotta be armed like the Constitution
so you can shoot up the Constitution.
America is God and blonde, dressed in
stars and stripes across naked breasts,
arms spread wide, pistols in both hands.

Armed to the gills
ready for the kills

who calls for the wars
those plentiful deadly wars

it's mankind since the beginning
call it Adam but never ever Eve

Good poem, amigo... looks nice, too!

America is full of this imagery
but there is little substance in many areas
of this fractured land, where folks ignore facts
and follow a reality tv star with a bad comb-over
faux religious zealots think it's ok to grab pussies
as long as your 401k is doing ok

you may end up where you are heading

Thanks. Funny how I've been slipping faux Biblical references into my writing lately ... tho there's nothing "Biblical" about that 2nd part ("inspired" by an image I found in my binder, printed off the 'Net a few years ago...)

yeah verily I got to read
a Steppenwolf who will drown in thought if I stop
God loves Donald Trump
God bless RBG's memory

I deleted this bit, reminded me of Holden Caulfield too much.

yea
verily, a
bitch goddess
whore
never wanted no truck with the harlots beside the road
never cared much about the yea verlies of life till I first drank the Kool-Aid™
Now if you are ever down in san antone
I'll meet you at the Alamo mission
And we will say our prayers
The holy ghost and the virgin mother
Will heal us, as we kneel there

I used to think it was a privilege to be one of God's chosen people. But now it just scares the bejesus out of me. Too Spooky for words

Excuses for yet another dissatisfaction
Dolly Parton does not represent America
Sorry about your luck pal

Maybe a native woman with raven black hair
Flute music and drums
This land has been stolen raped kidnapped by conmen
Women know
That the great mother is getting her revenge
On stupid arrogant people that cannot keep time in a group
On the drum
The heart keeps beating
The children carry the soul of America

As far as I know God has not said anything lately
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

You said it better than I could say it . . . Con men, guns, bluster and exploitation.

Like I say, this was an actual picture, published in one of those Red State gun magazines, as I recall.

God does not say much?
"Au contraire, ma chere, "
My head is hurting bad from all the God talk I hear.
God bless Donald Trump
God loves him.
God Bless America
I wish God would shut the fuck up.
she is america to me

and my guitar does not gently weep
my guitar wails for her.

I was raised to believe only Jewish women were real women, all the rest were shiksas
but after I drank the Koolaide™; I learned that a woman is a woman is a rose.

Exactly.

This is really 2 different "poems" here. Not sure why I combined them...

Then God said” what are all of you doing? Seriously
Let’s move forward- let go of the stuff that doesn’t work anymore
