patience wrapped in a tolerance bun....
it' really tough when a kid on pcp
runs you into a ditch, but you know
instinctively how to guide your vehicle
back up onto the road with deeply experienced
breaths and hands like Roberto Duran'
this world monumental in size
compared to your notions of peace and quiet,
your petty desires....
the world doesn't need you
to go mad, it can handle its insanity
very well without you, it doesn't care about you
it's a Behemoth , A MONSTER born in the womb
of capitalist lepers with bedsores
deformed by the creeping market, forced
into dysfunction by men who never share
bad kids that grew up to call themselves winners

I'm happy pouring paint on a canvas
watching the magic run like liquid genius
as I tip the painting to and fro, up and down
there is a story here greater than all the money in the world
I stare at drying colors never mentioned
by investors, beauty unfounded in portfolios
magnificence unknown by hedge fund managers
and corporate wranglers in pissing contests
from the top of skyscrapers on smog-choked mornings.....
only one way is living,
I don't know what to call the other thing
