I too was on that edge

wish i could remember my dreams

as others thought good thoughts
and prayed, and waited for that call
he's out of surgery, he's doing fine

but must be patient, wait a little longer
for the all-clear
so head out to the woods, commune with birds
sing to the squirrels because they are going nuts
looking for them to hide

Well, my daughter just gave me a brand new fire pit
so I can sit outside, breathe the chilly air that is fresh
she told me it's a recovery gift
