Unearthing a Past

Post by mtmynd » October 26th, 2020, 9:15 am

the Wheel drove itself and Dominic cried
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
as the disc player halts
and the music melts
all the entropy of life
oozes out of one last
chord that changes
unceremoniously to
the iridescent clouds
… jealously
plotting the skies.
seeking not our ears
but the platitudes
of eternal destiny,
time shakes the sod
of
omnipresent death
thru the
wheelbarrows
open spokes,
and divinely
set flame to that
which once
whispered
silently
into
our
now
abandoned
imagination…
there so much to decipher
in a life lived long ,if eyes were
mostly open to the possibilities
some hidden, some out in the open
and one day we may want to dredge it up
examine it, amuse ourselves
with the what ifs and the done deeds
maybe spit out our observations
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
