The back porch is full of fire ants
The crack in the pavement
Is scary
Suddenly it’s as if I’m standing near a powerful tribe
That could eat me alive

Riverside county has to come
No water for ten days on the lawn

It seems like everything is the same every day
Watch the stories
Cook pasta for the boss

The crowding of earth.
So many tribes that could
eat you alive, but then you
go on living for awhile.

little cracks everywhere

So slow each day of sunlight like gold
I imagine my lungs healing
The day went smooth
