full blue moon

Post by saw » November 21st, 2020, 11:17 am

trucks rollin' all morning
still working on the damn bridge
Susan heads out to the outdoor market
I'm tired and distracted
good old Waverly, every Saturday she comes alive
been mixin' it up for decades
a smorgasbord of characters from old novels
like flavors at Baskin Robbins
Waverly Market tasty and raw
always has been, pick a decade
you can always haggle, I can haggle too
but not today, today I'm lookin' at old photos
reliving the past with old friends
smiling in black and white
what will people think of me
when I'm ashes in an old Maxwell House can
what will they miss,,.... maybe nuthin'
don't matter...I'm just an old man rambling
like Jack Elliot, flatpicking and
bending strings to his will,
singin' raspy songs in his head
dancin' across his self-imposed cranial cell
like Mr. Bojangles. a tap-dancing jigsaw puzzle
with pieces missing and forgotten....
do me a favor
scatter my dust on the Gunpowder River
when the moon is full of itself and blue
say something nice about me, and go on home
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Maybe the - soul which weighs little will be free from this lifetime of pain... maybe we do not “ die” - maybe we let the body go
My own idea is that one day ya just go to sleep

I think it is personal
Death comes and plays
Let’s make a deal or the price is right
Write right?

Romance about death- is an eclipse

I think both life and death are over rated sometimes

Does it matter that in pain with shitty coffee
At 5:57 I’m awake
Also my time of birth
Is any of this meaningful
Woke up at 444
Still alive with my warm dog
Cold at night is beautiful here
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

good poem thanks for a GO! 8)
rosebud
life passes in bright tableaus of happy days
oliver beach gunpowder river 1950's
Waverly street trolley car baltimore 1950's
clifton park junior high
walking around with tented pants
after I saw the girl of my adolescent lust in a pencil dress
still got them old crazy bones

after life before death
last thoughts
final expenses
suicide by sailboat
in this afterlife before death I think of the disorder of my life and final expenses
if could have a say I hope you will all dance before we go home

I love this piece
I’m listening to opera
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Now that's an ending worthy of attendance!
Well thought out *or* the beauty of SOC...
it makes sense in this world of fear and confusion.
