Mars Rover

Post by the mingo » December 25th, 2020, 1:46 am

I've become a hulking crib tonight -
I go about nodding to this & that
a vivacious nostalgic, my fingers like fishhooks into the stars
rubbing rocks and waxing a wish outward past my bone & flesh

it's terrible, I know, I'm more pushy than glamorous
and no longer can I make myself lean but I rub thick with vigor
I can't count the houses I've lived in
or the untidy bastards I've crossed paths with
no matter anymore, no time -

pie is my favorite but I have no problem with cake
feeding my beast because if I don't
he will eat all the fog girls
and leave me no one special.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

so hard to make sense of it all
feel comfortable in the skin than covers our bones
we all know the fog girls, fats, oils, and grease ,right ?
I too am a big fan of pie, so I avoid the scale
pretend it's all good....hell, maybe it is !
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

count me as a fan of pie
(both with and without the 'e')
but I don't begrudge one their cake
I mean
I dig classical music
but not opera
and if you like opera -
cool
...
hey I hear ya
'bout the scale
since the arthritis laid me up
my pants seem to have shrunk
.

cool poem thanks
I must feed the beast or I will have no place special.
his will to power her power to will
outward and beyond Christmas spirit

El Mingo....good to read your words, amigo....

But it couldn't taste better than memates, roasted pecan pie made with some damn fine bourbon!

Hava decent 2021, if just for fun... Cheers!
