twilight hands

Post by saw » January 29th, 2021, 2:36 pm

love the surprises
pouring paint, bare canvas
white waiting to be dressed
in excitement

invisible hands interact
with my own as I tip the emerging
work to the left, to the right
up, down, how long or short

the intervals, I pour and twist............
and when the colors have dried
I sit for hours looking for interpretation
I know there is truth there and if I keep staring

a story will be told in whispers
of sight and imagination, like Rod Serling
giving us the premises to decide what we can handle
this blended new abstraction in the twilight zone
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Yes, I know what you mean... I've done many a "spillforth" spending time searching, planning, perhaps hearing an answer.

Love the idea of "invisible hands" to guide. Kinda reminds me of the "Great Sky Artist" I imagined reaching down (with invisible hands?) to pile sand against a mountain and smooth it into one of those long curved slopes of the Mojave desert.

A friend of mine is good at seeing images or "art" in random everyday scenes, or nature. He pointed out a "face" in the top of a redrock cliff in one of my photos of the Navajo Reservation, for example. Sometimes I wish I was better at seeing things like that.

explanations too often destroy that which needed no explanation.
