How foolish I was in my youth,
when I believed in our evolution.
I believed World Wars were over,
and the Big We would work it out,
but we don't work it out, we only
contract hits on the other side.

seems the greedy powerbrokers
with their obsession for profit through the roof
have always made the rules, set the tones
for suffering, and now we know
from guys like multi billionaire Jeff Besos
the Amazon beast.....there is no limit to greed
he could raise every employees wages 20 times
and still be a billionaire and yet he is giddy amassing more
knowing the people that create his wealth are having a hard time

The only 'consolation,' if it can be called that, is ... it's unsustainable. No choice but to adjust, reset. A lotta 'growing pains' in the meantime...
I went to buy a new(er) "midsize" pickup a while ago, to replace the old beater I've had for 20 years. Just wanted a simple 4x4. They don't exist. They're all packed with so much stuff I'll hardly ever use, and priced twice what they should cost. I mean, just a simple friggin' pickup truck...
But I digress...

Recently I heard on the news, the richest man in the U.S. is now Elon Musk.
Elon just became the richest person in the world, with a net worth of more than $185 billion... Jan 7, 2021
Electric cars and space rockets... he's like a kids dream that really came true. Hard to dislike a man like him, IMO.
