opponent
with all the clever tricks

of a very small human
we co-exist for the time being
in his gray determination

to out fox me
er, I mean
out mouse me

as I said
he is formidable
I respect his mind

He/they can be most clever these little mice
a mind focused on only one dream - food!

They are not any different from all of life
... the hungry mind that controls
... us
...them
... we are alike when hunger takes over.
