judih, steve - thanks! Very happy that you enjoyed it. I'm sometimes - often, actually - awestruck by the poetic powerhouses writing here, and can feel like a little kid playing dress-up when I post.

I considered putting the link in its own thread in the Music/Spoken Word/Video forum, but figured everyone involved with the project would know to look here. It also seemed a bit self-aggrandizing. But that would be the logical place to share it with the rest of the community.

Really nice Roy....I'm impressed...you have skills I know nothing about.....this was truly a labor of love.....is there a place we can put his to be easily accessed rather than in the thread of a poem.....Once again, You made excellent choices in weaving the components into a quilt....a nice collective tribute
We now have an announcement and this post in the Spoken Word forum.

Wow! Just wow! That was fabulous!!! Thank you so much Roy and Judih! I’m totally wowed!!! .... it’s almost 2am .... I’m so glad I stopped here tonight. I was thinking I didn’t know if there was a purpose anymore.... and then I listened and watched this.... and I feel so much better! You both did a great recitation... the background music, the art... all of it. All woven together like magic. Amazingly lovely! Awesome!!!! Beautiful!!

OMG! my young mind keeled over -
Rover rolling despite the authenticity
this piece of work. worked for me

I stop and thank thee, these two souls
their ability to create a makeshift scene
One... Two... Three... shared desires to

Bring me outta the Darque with love ...
LOVE - SUPREME... Supremely made w/ LOVE

I dig it. I DIG IT!! I thank your art... ability
Coming together with LOVE... splendid come truze
You've made it... together your LOVE to do so
I thank THEE in THREE's... The breeze... at ease.

Thank you... thank you... thank you
on kneeled knees to show my pleas
may I share with any and all... with

LOVE SUPREME w/ darque 9

OMG! ... Thank you...

I'm delighted to have delighted
but
this was Doreen's idea...
your words...
saw's and doreen's and wireman's visuals...
and judih showed me how to read...
(trust me, you DON'T want to hear my 1st recitation)
this was a team effort...
my ingredient for the soup was
years of play/experimentation with layering Sounds
the magic of creating aural spaces discovered when I was 12
fooling around with a friend's parents' RR tape deck
recording stories we'd written ourselves
and discovering that adding the sound of crickets
and maybe our hands swishing in a pail of water
could turn their den into a nighttime swamp...
sonic trickery, creating illusions...
such as two people 6000 miles apart
briefly sharing the same mic
at the same time...
it's nice to know that others find this magic as affecting
as I do

after interacting separately for years, this collective expression is such a nice thing to reference ....and I'm sure I'll do that from time to time.... 8) 8) 8)
