symbiosis is so inspiring

Post by saw » March 28th, 2021, 11:50 am

last night wild raindrops....
staccato rhythms on the shoulders of my dreams
the elm tree waving against the side of the house
reminds me that I am not alone

the morning is brimming with promise
like the coffee poured with excitement into my cup
a squirrel preens himself on a branch just below his nest
he acts as if he is sitting on his front porch

we nod like good neighbors do
as a robin swoops in for a seamless landing nearby
has a long sip of rainwater from a curled leaf
it's morning in our sanctuary

time to mingle with life
time to write poetry, stare at neon daffodils
touch the tips of crocus and blow my breath on columbine
I tell them good morning and it is, we are alive

symbiosis is so inspiring
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

So true - there's no need to aspire to be anything more than just another part of the Whole - it's good enough for me.

(BTW, I'm putting together that slideshow with Cecil's poem and visual artwork from various members, who I'd like to fully credit - so I just want to make sure I've got your name right - it's Weaver, isn't it? BTWBTW, I tried sending you a PM to this effect, but the editor kept giving me the finger. Either that, or you'll end up with 5 identical PM's from me.)

a rather brilliant piece to greet the early morn, amigo.

i awed quietly inside until the peace embraced gently silence.
