watch the snake swallow his tail
watch him roll
like a coldblooded wheel
away from the truth

tame that stubborn hula hoop
with a stick of hickory
kill the vector
embrace the new skin

she was fine
just the way she was
but the voices said different
and though I couldn't hear them
I knew they spoke
and so I tried to be the kind of friend
that doesn't need everything spelled out

part of growing up - trying on different personalities for size, depending on who you were with - eventually we find one that fits, and wear it like a favorite set of sweats. Me, I'm a Nerd, & wear my geekdom with pride.

some of my best friends are nerds....haha....
