8:20 a.m.

Post by the mingo » April 11th, 2021, 8:20 am

. . . a graceful answer from daughter to fireman

is to let the station hands tend the cobwebs

while those suffering enlarged prostates plant trees around the nation & pitch their tents

far from the vulgar flat oceans,

gloves happen & the float value of old-fashioned ornamental dolls

decorates the grotesque authority of memory

buried short or buried long these things go off in all directions

- we throw the dead dry bats on the fire, finger the coast until it moans,

and no longer look into tomorrow where all debts will be considered settled

and the milk no longer able to drive us mad.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Yeah. And the energy of speaking to an audience - well, sure beats zoom readings, or speaking into a mic in front of a wall of drawings.
Soon, one day soon, there'll be so many open mics, our calendar will demand time off.

Well, here's my 3rd take (with some pauses and umms and fluffs removed) - 51 seconds to your 68, abt 33% faster.

I dunno, I read some of my 'ku at a slam once & my hands & voice were shaking so badly they made the audience even more uncomfortable than I was! Give me a mic in an isolation booth any day..... :)

yes, sasha!
On a roll!
About speaking in public - I've always felt fine doing it, since public school. I guess, a lucky skill i picked up from some DNA offering me some true enjoyment
