Intention

The colors carry me first to the tug
Of the dying flames in the fires
That warm my soul in this beautiful
But cold paradise - winter
Wind and the coast. ..
chickens and a puppy
Not quite sure how those dreams seem so real
Like flying and feeling like a lighter being

Walking away from trouble
Has led me here
While the road led me on a backwards circle
To a child’s autonomy
The big blue bus to the beach
The sea always embraced me
As a child, as a woman, as a sister; as a mother- as an artist- and now as a grandmother - and last - I have been a real friend to a few -
Some are on the other side now.
But they know I love them..

It was my intention; to write two weeks ago
An hour ago
But I have been distracted by odd things
In a new place
The kinks of a perfect handmade hippie house

My observation is that
- two steps forward
One step back
I got here
I feel like I made it home-
