embracing sleep

it feels so real, timely
tantric spell lingering
moist air, come hither fingers
oh I see. I am invited
to join your dream
and you are a facsimile of Lorelei
atop a rocky outcropping
Mona Lisa smirk in the glow of Luna
midnight negligee
skin twinkling like stars
penetrating the lacy holes
of the northern lights
you bathed in green olive oil
body shimmering like the truth
like a painting come to life
to strut like a pea hen upon the stage
flaunt your colors
on a silk folding fan
to wave the magic of dreams
that dictate poems
nonsense
it's just random snapshots
why bother
recording such images
because it means something,
has my life been that lackluster ?
do I need to see this played out
I don't know
I saw it, and now you know
a good oracle only leaves clues
perhaps one day it will all makes sense
but my money is on the mystery, at best
a visit from the goddess metaphor is a challenge worth considering
why else embrace sleep
