a crow calls from the corner of the yard

"I left my sneakers in Byzantium. Didn't get another pair until I passed through Chicago. Sneakers are really over-priced in Chicago.

I should have waited 'til I made Omaha."

my sneakers were so funky that they cawed like crows
so I left them out in a far corner of the yard
I've decided to run barefoot through the avenues in my mind
