I'm not quite ready at the moment

Post by saw » October 12th, 2021, 10:25 am

my mind always says yes
too bad my body can be a real stick in the mud

of course it's just my catholic guilt
torturing me to feel about something......about nothing

perhaps that I haven't accomplished more today
than yesterday, urged to feel sick when I am idle

my brain was thoroughly washed when I was younger
heavy duty triple spin super clean

today my left frontal lobe is all over the place
a pinball lookin' for some hungry flippers

happy to bounce around with lights and rapid-fire bells
a random traveler praying for life beyond the tilt

mind set on a single replay, it's not a lot to ask
I'm not asking for immortality
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

oh, that Catholic guilt - "Bless me Father, for I have sinned: I looked at pictures of undraped women in that magazine I found in the trash behind the town hall - and I ENJOYED it..."

We were taught that touching ourselves inappropriately was likely to incur an eternal sentence in Satan's realm unless we came clean in the Confessional - but I had had a workaround. I'd lump any such tactile experimentation under "Impure Thoughts", and then conclude my confession with "Lying". I figured I had all the bases covered, and that this stratagem would automatically cleanse my soul of any stain.....

"Falsehood flies, the Truth comes limping after it." - Jonathan Swift, ca. 1710

I had a blessed childhood, no adult in my family threatened me with life after death
I still envy true believers
When I hear the phrase catholic guilt I think of this

heart surgery went well, eye surgery sceduled next week,, tanks for asking.
I am ready rEADy TEDDY at this moment
i';ll go down rocking
in the mean time I count my blessings
I believe the most precious gift I have received from my parents besides this life is my siblings..

She is a high maintenance sister but she has given me high maintenance in return.

Her long black trains of thoughts
are giving way to laughter
absurdities
We have come a long way together me and baby sister.
Suicide my worst fear for others, so maybe for myself too. Projection?
