whiz-dumb

Post by saw » October 21st, 2021, 2:22 am

some say the hummingbird
can also sing
let us not close the doors
of our minds, tricked by an adjective
let us try to imagine
a tiny voice

I try to picture her vocal chords
but i think I'm going to need a microscope
and an infusion of more imagination
to picture that faint vibration

where does she come in
on the chromatic scale of subtle dreams
how deep is her love and her mark
in the notched handle of time

can I carve a little truth
from the throat of awareness
learn something monumental
from the atoms of little bird

wisdom is everywhere
waiting to be extracted
by the blind, waiting
to be sipped like nectar
by a tiny avian
and men like myself who have a thirst

I wait patiently for her to give up that silly humming
and belt out a Broadway showtune
but I understand I will probably see pigs fly over my house first
oinking like drunken showoffs

the great battle, as I see it, of the showtunes verses the showoffs
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Very detailed. Nice write. Hummingbird vocal cords.. mmm
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

a small circle of silicon based readers
virtual pals who love to read
I like the way you leave out so much
makes for easy reading
you say so much in so few words
I give whiz=dumb
