when we write
we are dictating the words in our head,
we silently speak them, then transcribe them
on to a piece of blank paper, or a screen
though there are no rules against
saying them out loud as we are typing....
to me, part of the goal is to coax the reader
to read them in my voice
but I'm wondering if this is just a fantasy
to hope for something like the moon
that a reader can hear my voice, maybe that's stupid,
but people say that I'm a dreamer
when I was very young
I had no voice....I had to grow into it
oh sure, I could cry with the best of them
but I had to learn how to express my desires
more reasonably
I ain't no whiner anymore, but admit
that, is no assurance that I have something to say
so why worry if you can hear my voice in the first place
I do have courage.....and I am unafraid of falling on my ass
or my face, despite the objections of various body parts
and I must say that every single time that happens
which is more often than I care to embrace,.....own
I feel something

When I was a sqeaky voiced little jackster I wished I had a deep male voice like Vaughn Monroe. I would try to lower my voice by putting the earpieces of my glasses in my mouth and spreading my cheeks to get a hollow sound when I tried to sing Ghost Riders in the Sky for my mother'

editing on the run but spontaneous as a knee jerk to a poem
Kerouac's voice is what I try to emulate .
I HAVE READ THE WRITTER IS THE MANURE from which his work grows
St Jack died for my sins
I like it a lot thanks for writting seerms as the older I get the braver I get.

Very good facet of a diamond
Glistening
Glistening
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
