my vision has stepped up its game

I so miss that squeaky step
fifth from the bottom, depending
on which direction you are traveling,
and the motor kicking in when I replace
the container in the dehumidifier ,
the sound of the medicine cabinet opening
and closing, the sound of water running in the bath tub,
but most of all the songbirds that sang to me
each morning as they waited for me to bring them their seeds
the days are stealth movements to me
but I'm quite sure all the sounds I miss are still audible
to the average ear but I must try to remember them,
recreate them from days past, it's a game I play
imagining the sounds in my head
learning to hear with thoughts only
I laser focus on the mundane as well as the unique
my vision has stepped up its game

thanx jana....it seems since I'm just about deaf that my vision has gotten better.....go figure....both literally and figuratively

my paintings got a boost

One of my favorite men had a eye disease- he was a tile setter- that man had an incredible sense of touch.
I have had a similar experience with a friend that had a stroke .. she needed to feel my face ..
I wear hearing aids mask and glasses- earrings too.
I listen better with them..
