Ironing today I thought to write
About the steam? No that was not it

Was it the serious reason for tearing up the bed and blankets
And starting fresh?
No that was not it either
Was it the chai with oat milk
The salad with radishes and every kind of lettuce
Red cabbage ..

That was not it

There is so many things that ran through me
That I really wanted to share here

But I cannot remember what it actually was
That had me wanting to write about it

Been there. Inspiration is so fleeting sometimes.

Happens to me all the time, too - often when I'm jammin' in the kitchen. I keep a scratch pad & a few pens on the counter to jot down these random inspirations, but sometimes when I review them the next day, I have no idea what I meant.

I can definitely relate
we seem to be in that group of aging travelers
increased age can fog the windshield
