One Horsepower

The first real Americans,
before all that hype of horsepower,
rode real horses at one horsepower,
before powerlust took over.

Remember back in the early 60s when portable radios boasted about the number of transistors they contained? In some instances I heard that some manufacturers would simply glue some into the interior without making any electrical connections, just so they could more more-or-less truthfully include them in the count (more less than more, I would say)... Nah, maximum fucking horsepower. That's all that matters. Maxing out. It's kinda scary, but we demand no less.

Funny thing horses were native to North America but about 30 thousand years ago or 20,000 they mysteriously disappeared... coincidentally that's when Homo sapiens showed up in the New World. I suppose horses were on the menu
