that hasn't changed ( the wandering and wondering )

Post by saw » December 10th, 2021, 9:53 am

the silent world ain't so bad
it forces you to spend quality time
doings the things you may not have
if there were a soundtrack

I flash back to a conversation
with a close friend a few weeks ago
when I said to him, you know there are days
when evening falls and I come to realize this

I haven't used my voice today, not once
how ironic now that hearing the world's voice
has become a bit of a problem, that I underutilized
this other sense that worked just fine

oh, i suppose i could have talked to the rake
or that bag of dead leaves that once was alive and hanging
and I'm sure the coffee pot is starved for more than brewing
but the sun came up and the sun went down

with nary a word spoken by me, no verbalization
to be recorded, so how can I really complain about this thing I lost
no, I am not in love with deafening tribulations
but my mind still wanders, and sometimes also wonders a bit as well......

that hasn't changed,.... the wandering and wondering
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

wandering thru Wonderland
wonderful holiday wishes,
peace on earth ain't trite I say
wondering wonderful whims of joy
it don't hurt to wander this walk
I keep thinkin' if I wish hard enough
we could all live together in harmony
but a voice on the other shoulder
is saying, wake up dude, there ain't
no Santy Claus, or like Groucho used to say
check the Sanity Clause.....
maybe I am insane,
wishin' on a star
without a contractual reason
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I love the quiet
No pressure to perform or care for anyone-
Just walk the dog.
Nice write
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

all that wander are not lost
i used to stand and wonder

but i am so much older now I talk to every thing
I live in a smarthome™
even my coffee pot has ears
you can see the lights of lubock texas from a 100 miles away
you can here the truck stops from 50
except on Christmas morning a still holy silence

modulation poetry double plus cool

I wake up enthusiastically
For coffee
With foam
No matter what time it is
The beautiful sugar and caffeine buzz just spin my clock
Then a little marijuana
It’s really paradise
Life is somehow magical
No matter where I go
I believe that there is some great mystery I have not discovered yet- the blood pressure pill is a definite morning sensation

wake up to the blood thump thud
pounding in my head
singing that'll be the day i die
i used to have a special purpose
even so I live like I am in love with life
